Andrea Keenan

My name is Andrea Keenan, and I am proud to be a Heart-Led celebrant.

I live in Annan, in south west Scotland, near the border of Scotland and England and I became a celebrant in December 2019. I had wanted to do this for a long time, and I am so glad I took the leap. I began my celebrant journey in 2020, a year that challenged us all, and despite being challenged by the times we live in I have absolutely no regrets and cannot wait till the world can celebrate again.

To me, being a celebrant is a huge privilege. To share the most important moments in someone’s life is an honour I take very seriously, and I believe each ceremony I write should truly reflect the person and the occasion completely. I feel so lucky to hear people’s stories of how they fell in love, how they lived their life and what they believed in.

When someone tells me that I have captured their loved one in my writing and I have done a good job, it means the world to me. I am so grateful to be able to say I am a celebrant. I love my job.
