Celebrant Consciousness: Ploughing and Planting in the Quantum Field

One of the most important things I’d love all Heart-led Celebrants to understand and practise within their practice, is about how their consciousness shapes every aspect of their work.

When I wrote my mind-body-soul booklet, The Successful Celebrant, and published it for the general public, I was aware that only a certain type of person would resonate with the contents. This tiny book has the power to change a person’s life and celebrant business, if they let it, and if they work with their own mindset. To be clear, though, it’s not a quick fix.

The consciousness we bring to celebrancy will determine whether we thrive or wither in our business (and this is regardless of how skilled or talented we are). Let’s have a look at consciousness in celebrancy, and break it down into easy visuals.

Someone coming to celebrancy, particularly after having worked in a 9 to 5 job with a regular pay packet, might be daunted by the change in financial, energetic and overall work-life dynamic. This is regardless of personality type (such as extrovert or introvert). What’s required is:

  • a sense of belief in one’s self
  • confidence in one’s place in this world
  • awareness that you have your own marketplace no matter what’s going on for anyone else
  • willingness to be visible and let people CHOOSE you

The Fertile Field
To sum up a complicated branch of science in one line: quantum physics shows us that every last thing in this universe, no matter how microscopic or ‘invisible’, is based on behaviour and interactions. Think of a pebble in a pond, and the ripple effect. Throw in a pebble, there’s an effect.

Plough The Ground
The first thing that needs to happen, in celebrant life, is you have to till the soil. You’re learning new ways of living and being and working, so you have to ensure that the foundation for what you’ll plant in the Quantum Field, is going to be opened up and receptive to new ideas.

Remove Rocks
There will be naysayers on your path. “Oh, you’re brave!” “Are you sure you can run your own business?” “There are too many celebrants out there!” (NOTE: There are not too many celebrants. There are too many poorly equipped/trained celebrants. Excellence will always shine through. Choose excellence.)

Weeds and Worries
Anytime a negative or self-sabotaging thought comes up, you and you alone are responsible for removing that weed of an idea. Whenever you’re engaging with worry―that is, a weed is taking root in your field―rip it up and replace it with three positive affirmations.

A Field of Fragrant Flowers
When you plant powerful positive seeds in the Quantum Field, which you do with every thought, action and intention, you’re preparing for a gorgeous, dynamic meadow of wildflowers aka

your extraordinary,
thriving,
creative,
soul-enriching celebrant practice.

What thoughts and feelings

might you need to have

for a dynamic celebrant practice

to appear as your reality?

There are so many aspects to celebrancy. Bringing consciousness to each of these various roles allows us to tend them with care.

Here are some areas to consider:

  • Self-care
  • Administrative tasks
  • Client meetings
  • Researching
  • Writing ceremonies
  • Conscious creativity
  • Vocal refinement
  • Commitment to enhanced communication
  • Dynamic presentation
  • Rehearsing scripts
  • Officiating ceremonies
  • Visibility (marketing, website, socials, blogs)
  • Financial well-being

Think about each area, and write down your thoughts (good and bad) about each one. Then start removing the weeds! (Cross out the negative thoughts.)

What do you want to plant?

You decide what your celebrant life looks, sounds and feels like.

Just as the hero’s journey has a three-part path (separation, transition and incorporation) [or the feminine version: conception, gestation, birth], so too does celebrant consciousness. The journey begins with intention.

Intention
What seeds have you/are you planting?
e.g.
My clients love me! I go into each meeting with an open heart willing to listen and learn from them.

I attract my ideal clients, from all over the world, with ease.

Every day I build my business with love, grace and passion.

I allow my social media and website presence to be visible 24/7. I attract wonderful clients even while I sleep!

I am disciplined, focused and creative.

Keep your intentions as present-moment affirmations. That is, speak as if they’ve already happened or are happening.

e.g.
I earn at least £$……. a month, doing celebrant work I love, easily and effortlessly. This is non negotiable.

I create quality ceremonies.

All my working relationships are easy and friendly.

Bridging
There’s a liminal space where we don’t necessarily see/experience those intentions. Maybe the seeds we planted are still sitting silently underground waiting for warmer weather, or some rain to nourish the soil. Your job is to be patient.

Manifestation
And then you start to see signs: the first shoots appear from the loamy soil! And then growth, real growth. Alongside is hope. Whatever you are seeing and experiencing here, began with intention. If you want a field of wildflowers, you have to plant the seeds. They’ll require sunshine, rain, a nutrient-rich soil, and patience. No seeds? No growth. No ploughing? There’ll be too many weeds and grasses for any of your seeds to germinate.

Celebrant consciousness is about bringing heart (the feeling of what you desire) and mind (your thoughts of intention) together. This internal harmony, and genuine gratitude (that almost bursts out of your skin with joy), creates shifts in the quantum field for your seeds to germinate, grow and thrive.
