Hi, I’m Jan, (She/Her) All too often we attend a function and feel that the funeral or a child’s naming was impersonal or that the officiant was just going through the motions. My wish is to create a space where you truly feel a reflection of someone’s life journey, which was why I decided to be trained by Heart – Led Celebrancy.
With a passion for story-telling and painting a picture with words, I create ceremonies that honour the transitions in your life in an authentic, meaningful way, with rituals that can add beauty and poignancy.
Whether you are saying a final goodbye to a loved one, or are scattering their ashes in a place of significance, allow me to craft a ceremony which honours their life, loves and legacy.
Or maybe you are celebrating the start of a new life, either as a couple or by an addition to your family? With your full input, together we will create a deeply personal ceremony, reflecting your identity, personality and humour.

I am based in Cumbria, but would be willing to travel within 100 miles from home.

With a wealth of experience within a farming community, and a life-long love for the natural world, I have always taken inspiration from the rhythms of the changing seasons. Therefore, I draw a lot of my imagery from the world around me, but can craft any style of ceremony you desire.

As a daughter, sister, mother and friend I know all too well, how painful life can be. But, can also see the lighter side of a situation. To celebrate a milestone in any life is to be human, and that is exactly why I do what I do.

My loves include my dog, a ginger tom cat, gardening, crafting and music, especially 70’s and 80’s rock; but, please don’t let that put you off.
