The celebration of a life event should be as unique as the individual. My mantra is “All you need is love”. I believe that the experience of sharing love through ceremony is a defining feature of what it means to be human. My ceremonies are not bound by any religious ideology – they are hand crafted ceremonies that honour your view of the world and illuminate love in its many forms.

As a Heart Led Celebrant I am interested in the way we connect with each other, and how our relationships shape us as unique and special individuals. My interest in ceremony has grown from a long career in adult social care. I have had the privilege of working closely with a variety of people from different walks of life, seeing their lives from their own unique point of view. My experience has grown into a genuine understanding of the power that love can bring, in good times and in bad. Love motivates me to live my life empathically and I always to strive for tolerance, respect and equality.

You might be welcoming a new baby into your family, making or renewing your wedding vows or celebrating a significant anniversary. Arranging a final goodbye to a loved one can be enriched by the creation of a special celebration of their life at a funeral, memorial or scattering of ashes ceremony. I can guide you as you consider what feels right, sharing ideas on how to convey your thoughts and feelings in a way that is meaningful and memorable.

I undertake ceremonies throughout South West Scotland, Cumbria and North Lancashire. If you feel my style of celebrant work is right for you I’m happy to discuss working in other areas, this would include a mileage fee agreed in advance.
